Summary/Abstract: This report examines part of the jurisprudence of the Court of Justice of the European Union on preliminary rulings concerning the contractual liability of insurance companies and the possibility of reducing or excluding their liability to compensate injured parties in the event of a road accident due to contributory negligence by the injured person.
