Summary/Abstract: Taking into consideration issues related to decision-making in crisis situations oneshould pay attention to the nature of the crisis, which determines the mode of decisionmaking. A crisis situation imposes conditions on decision and limits possibilities. Mostpublications dealing with crisis management adopt legislative and organizational optics. This paper includes an explanation of the essence of crisis decision-making with regardto the components of the decision-making process. This elaboration focuses on theexpected decision-making competence which is required in a crisis situation. The authoralso draws attention to the features that seem to be important from the point of view of the conditions under which decision are made.
