Summary/Abstract: The growing phenomenon of losing hope is both contemporary drama and a challenge for parents, teachers, priests, catechists, and educators. The feeling of discouragement and weekening of the will of life is becoming more and more frequent. Many people, especially the youth who have not gained experience being a determinant of wisdom, are exposed to this danger. The need of education is therefore becoming key to protect people against the loss of hope. For people who have faith the only effective hope is Jesus Christ – the foundation of education. The aim of this article is to show Jesus Christ as the foundation of religious and moral education who shows you the right and secure path of hope in the middle of current challenges. The recognition of Christ as hope for a contemporary person leads to reformation and reconcilliation. Both reformation and reconcilliation contribute to religious and moral education being its key elements. They are indispensable in order to regain hope.
