Summary/Abstract: Prison officers perform their professional duties under specific conditions. The data in the literature show that this professional group is particularly vulnerable to many mental and physical loads in the workplace. The aim of this article is to draw attention to the stress-inducing work environment prison officers. The issue made at work is important from the point of view of the diagnosis, the risk of developing occupational diseases and the key to health promotion in this occupational group.
