Summary/Abstract: This paper analyzes proclaimed economic doctrines of parliamentary parties in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), during the election campaign for General Elections 2010, and contextualizes them within BiH economic system, its current macroeconomic framework and EU integrations process. The postulated hypothesis is that proclaimed economic-political doctrines of leading political parties in BiH are not internaly consistent, nor are they complementary with the EU economic model, principles of economic system based on free-market economy, which in the end can influence the speed and success of political transition and consequently EU convergence. Proven non-existence of consistent ideological economic values on behalf of the leading political parties corresponds with the absence of structural economic reforms, which are precondition of macroeconomic sustainability of BiH as one of the determinants of the stable process of EU convergence. The methodology rests on universal questionnaire with 15 closed-ended questions, which has taken responses of 13 out of 16 leading parliamentary parties. Algorithmic model assigns categorical values to each question depending on its importance in measuring 'ideological cleavage', while assigned ponders are used in combination with these values to provide result which positions each political party within the political-economic cleavage of socialism vs. capitalism (x axis) and within the cleavage of collectivism vs. individualism (y axis). Proclaimed economic values of great majority of political parties in BiH rest on the economic left, with the absence of even one example of political party with proclaimed libertarian and conservative- capitalist values, which are the basis of EU economic model.
