Short Description
Membership in European Union is strategic goal of BH in forthcoming period. That implies fulfilling whole range of requirements established by EU, as a part of accession process. In the core of this process is approximation of domestic legal order to EU acquis in various policy areas, which is always part of the government reform agenda.
However, countries progress requires more than fulfilling formal requirements deriving from accession process. It means adopting whole set of standards, values and codes of conduct embodied in European societies. Apart from authorities, key non-governmental stakeholders such as academia, educational institutions, or media should take part in this process.
In that sense, Journal would be considered as the discussion forum on issues related to country's road to the EU. Therefore, this Journal should provide framework for open debate on European issues, in accordance with highest academic standards, with special emphasis on argumenting and communicating benefits of adopting EU standards to public and Bosnia and Herzegovina society as whole. Thus conceived and reasoned debate contributes to identifying the most appropriate policy solutions as well as the most effective ways of adjusting to EU policies, supporting country to get closer to EU.
