Summary/Abstract: In order to make musical contents more approachable to students, increase their interest in music and ensure quality and musical relevance in musical education, music teachers should have excellent professional and pedagogical/didactical/methodical education. Only highly educated teachers can transmit aesthetic values and desirable vocal techniques and voice placement to students. However, in practice, music teachers lack competencies when it comes to teaching singing. In this article, the authors describe the development of students’ singing skills (voice skills) within regular music education and extracurricular musical activities and present the models for successful didactical and vocal-technical work on processing and interpretation of the song.
