Summary/Abstract: The so-called “Monographs” of the communes from Comrat and Tighina сounties are published for the first time in the present article. They were drawn up by the local administration in 1943. These brief essays contain information of the historical and ethnographic nature of about 17 communes that were part of Comrat county: Abaclia, Avdarma, Bashkalia, Ceadir-Lunga, Chirsova, Chiriet-Lunga, ChiokMaidan, Comrat, Dezghinja, Geoltai, Gaidar, Ferapontyevka, Malu-Mare, Romanesti, Tomai and Tvarditsa.
