Summary/Abstract: The study focuses on the evolution and normalization of queer reading in German literary studies. Based on an analysis of texts which seem to be canonical for the academic concept of queer reading, the weaknesses, strengths and futurity of this hermeneutic model and its importance and contribution to the literary criticism are discussed.
