Timbral analysis and registers of B flat clarinet

Summary/Abstract: This paper is based on a case study focused on the timbre analysis of the clarinet in Bb, based on the spectrographic representation of the frequencies. Starting from the registers and sub-registers identified by this analysis, we were able to outline a model representation of a virtual clarinet that uses as few samples as possible, without significant identity loss of the real instrument.
