Timbral analysis and registers of flute

Summary/Abstract: Virtual instruments are widely used at present, most often successfully replacing real instruments. This case study focuses on the timbre analysis of the flute and the division into registers and sub-registers based on the spectrographic representation of frequencies. Moreover, an attempt was made to outline a model representation of a virtual flute which would use as few samples as possible, without significant identity loss of the real instrument (used in devices with a limited memory capacity).
