Identification of Key Sectors of the Polish Economy Using Input-output Analysis

Summary/Abstract: This article presents research results on the classification of sectors of the Polish economy, with the identification of its key sectors. The empirical analysis was conducted using the input-output model and Rasmussen’s method of key sector identification. For the analysis, data from the input-output table at basic prices in 2010 published by CSO were used. Results of the research confirmed the changes taking place in the structure of the Polish economy, gradually bringing it closer to the developed economies with a dominant role of services in GDP creation.
