Summary/Abstract: The article presents changes in labor productivity and employment rates in the context of EU cohesion policy assistance in the countries that are the largest beneficiaries of this sup¬port. The first section presents the theoretical backgrounds that discuss the specificity of cohesion policy. The second part of the paper presents the effects of cohesion policy in the largest beneficiary countries. The third part is the results of the research on the relationship between the volume of financial expenditure under the EU cohesion policy and the produc¬tivity and employment rate.
