Summary/Abstract: The text „Abbot Daniels’s Pilgrimage” from 12th century is one of the first pilgrim texts in the Old Russian literature describing sacral medieval geographical spaces likes Constantinople and Jerusalem. The research to aims at study the motion of a person as an aspiration for sanctity in the medieval geographic space as well as to shows that pilgrimage, on the one hand, is a „way of the body”, on the other hand, is a „way of spirit”.
