Ethnological Aspects of the Socialization of the Individual

Summary/Abstract: The principal goal of this article is to explore the mechanism of socialization of the individual through the Bulgarian traditional culture during the period of his childhood in the framework of the contemporary Bulgarian family. The socialization process is reviewed from the ethnological point of view, which leads to the presentation of a definition of the process, to the elaboration of its general theoretical model of implementation through the some rites and customs, specifics for the Bulgarian traditional culture. The ethnological concept of the socialization of the child demonstrates the role of the tradition in the formation of ethnic stereotypes and self-identification.
