To our grandfathers with love

Summary/Abstract: The ethnographic material collected in the last two years in the framework of the "Tale of childhood" project related to the early childhood in Bulgaria in the period of the traditional and contemporary Bulgarian society will be analyzed. The vivid socializing role that parents from the older generation play in the growth and upbringing of children will be discussed. We will seek parallels and differences in patterns of relationships between children and parents in the town and the village, as well as the changes that occur in the symbolic role that grandparents have in the lives of different generations.
