Scientific Language and Ssientific Terms Against the Background of Language Diveristy in Poland and Abroad

Summary/Abstract: In the age of globalization and internationalization of science and technology, the need arises to not only teach general language but also its specialized variations. The knowledge of academic register is necessary to receive university degrees, which creates new challenges in language education. Thanks to the sociolinguistic competence, language users are able to communicate not only in the private sphere but also in public, educational and professional contexts. The aim of the article is to describe the scientific language and scientific terms against the background of other varieties of the Polish language. The author explains the difference between the varieties of the Polish language in Poland and the linguistic situation of Polish emigrants. / W dobie globalizacji i umiędzynarodowienia nauki i techniki rodzi się potrzeba nauczania nie tylko języka ogólnego, ale również odmian specjalistycznych. Podstawą edukacji w językach obcych jest przyswojenie języka akademickiego, co stawia nowe wyzwania przed glottodydaktyką. Dzięki nabyciu kompetencji socjolingwistycznej użytkownicy języka mogą komunikować się nie tylko w sferze prywatnej, ale również w sferze publicznej, edukacyjnej i przede wszystkim zawodowej. Celem artykułu jest charakterystyka stylu naukowego i terminów na tle odmian języka polskiego. Autorka wyjaśnia różnicę między wariantywnością języka w kraju a sytuacją językową pokolenia emigracyjnego i pokoleń polonijnych za granicą.
