Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to present the lexico-grammatical features of the noun in Duvernois’s Dictionary and to illustrate in the most precise way in terms of percentage (in numerical data) the number of the basic forms categorized by gender and number. The general characteristics of the noun are analyzed on the basis of the forms presented by Duvernois in his Dictionary. In terms of their semantics, the author distinguishes the following categorical types: common (concrete, abstract, collective and diminutive) nouns and proper nouns. In the article there are examples of gerunds, derivative, simple, complex nouns and epithet nouns.
