Summary/Abstract: The symbol of home is very prominent in the works Tvrđava by Meša Selimović and Ponornica by Skender Kulenović. Still, it is expressed differently in these works. In Tvrđava, the home is reached and fulfilled by the community of love; in Ponornica, on the other hand, the home is never realized, but it is being sought afer in nature. The home is marked by limits and presents the conclusion of the search.
