Open Access to Linguistic Resources in Practice

Summary/Abstract: The paper presents some examples of unjustified, in my opinion, restrictions on electronic linguistic resources created thanks to public funding. The problem concerns in particular various sets of paper slips digitized by Digital Repository of Scientific Institutions (of Polish Academy of Sciences). The paper slips are considered to be protected by copyright, which substantially limits their use. The persons responsible for the slips should prove they are indeed subject to copyright, or to retract their present position on the matter.
