Summary/Abstract: For international organizations involved in peacekeeping, currently the biggest problem is the prevention and management of unconventional conflicts, as the largest gap occurs in the areas of training and equipping troops for peacekeeping missions, counter-terrorism and international crime prevention. Romania, a full member state in the European Union and NATO must bring all institutions to the standards required for membership in these two international bodies. European Gendarmerie Force (EGF) is the institution that brings together all police forces with military status in the countries belonging to the European Union. Romanian Gendarmerie is one of the most important institutions of the Romanian State and is part of the structure of the European Gendarmerie Force (EGF).
