ABOUT LEADER AND LEADERSHIP CONCEPTS GIVEN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE CLASSICAL PARADIGMS OF NATIONAL SECURITY MANAGEMENT

Summary/Abstract: Since the whole world has entered a complex process of change and search for anew state of balance, we are witnessing the collapse of paradigms established in all the domains;under these conditions, the state of confusion prevails, while ensuring stability, even in conditions of insecurity, can only be attained by the speed with which management systems are able to adapt to increasingly rapid and unpredictable change. In these harsh conditions people feel a growing need for new role-models and for the emergence of leaders able to manage the new situations characterized by complexity and for which, most of the times, there is no precedent. It appears,therefore, the need for a strong leadership based on criteria able to respond to changing conditions.It is thus necessary that at least part of our concerns be addressing this issue.
