Technological possibilities for the production of miniaturized nuclear weapons and their impact on global security

Summary/Abstract: The contemporary world shows us a more confrontational global stage in which stands out the best the classical conflict for regional and global hegemony between the renowned actors of the international arena such as Russia and the US. Obviously, the contemporary international scene is much more complicated than that of Cold War, in the game entering new and important actors, such as the China, Korea, India, Pakistan,etc. In this context revival of the Cold War raises major problems, many of them being unprecedented, posing serious and multidisciplinary analysis and demanding effective and immediate solutions. On this back groundit is reiterated among others the complicated issue of nuclear arms control and, hence, the confrontation in the intelligence community on the manufacture, sale and use of NBC weapons.
