Summary/Abstract: By his nature man is assigned to realize common good which – in the light of classical philosophy – is comprehended as the development of human person in the extent of what is proper to him as human being and common to all mankind. Common good then is nothing else but the completion of man in intellectual, volitional, and creative aspects which follow the ultimate end of human life: his union with the Absolute Being (God). To realize common good in political way, i.e. not only efficiently, but also honestly, social life needs philosophy which reads and understands reality.
