Summary/Abstract: This paper deals with the prohibition of forced labor. Freedom from forced labor is one of fundamental human rights. The first chapter contains the definition of forced labor. In the second part, current legislation on transfer of an employee to alternative work is analyzed with respect to the prohibition of forced labor. The third chapter deals with the proposed amendment to the labor code, which contains, among other things, also a conceptual change of transfer to alternative work. In the conclusion, author’s opinion on this proposal is expressed.
