Summary/Abstract: Astaxanthin is a carotenoid used in the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and food industry. In order to obtain a high biomass yield of the microalgae, it is necessary to provide the proper amount of feed, light source, the optimum temperature and pH of the medium. The aim of the work was to design and implement a computerized system to control remotely the culture of microalgae Haematococcus pluvialis. The system was based on the Internet and allowed to control multiple photobioreactors, at different locations, using a single computer. For the verification of the proposed system the cultures of Haematococcus pluvialis were carried out. Results obtained (biomass growth) were similar to the data presented by other authors.
