Summary/Abstract: The analysis concerned the possibilities and economic viability of connection of a solar house to the district heating network as a distributed storage of heat, by using economic indicators. Solar house is a building where heat demand is covered by solar radiation at least in 50%. On the basis of research it is stated that more cost-effective solution would be to connect a solar house to the heating network. A heating company can also expect positive effects of this operation, such as reduction of heat loss. Heat accumulator, which is located in the solar house, gives the possibility to store 100% heat from heating district network, which is missed by users. In this particular case, a user can get the financial savings of at level 20%.
