Summary/Abstract: The article indicates the directions of development of new generations of heating systems using phase-change materials and presents the criteria relevant for the selection of phase-change material. The purpose of the work was to determine the impact of using a phasechange heat store on the return temperature from the installation to the heating network. Based on the conducted tests, it was found that the selection of the most advantageous heat accumulating material depends on the return temperature of the heating network. The introduction of a phase-changing heat store into the heating system allows to obtain a return temperature from the installation at the temperature level in accordance with the adopted control table for external temperatures of the standard heating season.
