Implementation of the Paris Agreement on Climate Protection

Summary/Abstract: The Paris Agreement to the United Nations Framework Convention on ClimateChange of 12 December 2015 has established multilateral principles for climate protection after 2020 witch aim to ensure that global warming will not increase the pre-industrial temperature by more than 2 Celsius degrees. This agreement creates a system of universal character, moving away from the concept adopted in the Kyoto Protocol in 1997. The following principles of climate protection have been stated in the Paris Agreement: global policy, differentiated responsibilities, environmental integrity, sustainable and low-emission development. Poland has ratified the Paris Agreement and started the implementation of its provisions to in the national legal order.
