Summary/Abstract: Self-awareness is a cognitive capacity of an individual for introspection in order to gain insight into one’s emotions, thoughts, needs and behaviours and decisions resulting from them. It is also necessary to evaluate positive and negative effects of one’s activity or possibilities and limitations, which are very important in teachers’ personal and professional development. Educational transactional analysis offers them useful tools which can help develop their self-awareness, such as theFunctional Fluency model (FF) and Temple Index of Functional Fluency (TIFF), which are presented in this article.
