The „impact” vocabulary in the local press: the #Resist phenomenon

Summary/Abstract: This paper discusses the issue of an "impact vocabulary" in the local Sibiu press, used to attract and impress readers. The articles chosen for the research refer to the demonstrations at the beginning of the year, grouped under the Resist slogan. In these articles, different forms of the „impact” vocabulary are identified: political, social, historical, superlative forms. It is interesting to observe their role as well as the way they have been integrated into the text of the articles.
