Is it easier to make ends meet? Analysis of the financial situation of Polish housholds with the use of panel models

Summary/Abstract: The analysis of income, the primary measurement of household’s wealth, conducted by the Social Monitoring in the framework of the Social Diagnosis 2015, shows that the financial situation of households in Poland has improved in recent years. It seems to be interesting to identify the demographic characteristics associated with changes in the financial situation of Polish families, as well as to examine the dynamics of these changes. The main goal of this paper is the analysis of the subjective assesment of the financial situation but in terms of both time and cross-sectional dimension using selected panel models for data collected as part of the Polish Social Diagnosis.
