The Artistic Legacy of K. Malevich's in the Creative Rethinking of the Masters of French Fashion Design

Summary/Abstract: The article talks about the development of the design of the clothes as the scale of the global fashion industry that is associated with the fashion designers. It is discussed the development of the clothes design of the period of the XX-XXI centuries that, as an object, took the status of regular public discussions, analytical discussion and secular publications. Also the creativity of avantgarde artists in early twentieth century is defined as a powerful source of inspiration for creating the iconic fashion designers, including France. This investigation takes the factor of image and style decision in design-projecting of fashion collections in the first half of the XX – early XXI centuries. The trend of the modern consumer propensity to electing the visually spectacular and stylistically actual models of clothes with original design solution is followed. Creativity of Kazimir Malevich is positioned as the most influential factor when creating images and style in modern design clothing in France, namely, forms and colors, all of them the artist laid in his theoretical concept.
