The Noble Gherghely Family of Făgăraș in the Collections of Moldavia’s History Museum in Iași

Summary/Abstract: The article presents three objects in the collection of the Moldavia’s History Museum in Iasi, related to the Gherghely family of Fagaras. These were donated in the 1970’s by family descendants, who are now in Bucharest. The items are: a golden seal ring with the Gherghely family's coat of arms, a modern copy of the 1675 ennoblement diploma and an old family portrait, probably from the eighteenth century.
