Summary/Abstract: The characteristic of folk art culture in its relationship with the popular, artistic, traditional, ethnic, mass culture is posted. The questions actualization of folk art culture in modern Ukraine etnodesigning practice are studied. The prospects of convergence of folk art and popular culture in etnodyzayni through the use of traditional ornaments and symbols shown on the differences in their interpretation of decorative art and etnodyzayni are pointed out. Folk art culture occupies an important place in the culture and bordered by mass culture and elitist, with professional and amateur work is akin to folklore. Folk art culture convergence approaches the mass culture in etnodesign through the use of traditional symbols and ornaments. Folk art culture can be seen as a subsystem of folk and culture. Most researchers are repelled from the category of "folk culture" as a base. Ethnic culture is the foundation of popular culture. Ethnic culture is always associated with traditional and ethnic categories. Popular culture is a broader concept, since beyond ethnic and may include inoetnonatsionalnu culture and beyond traditional culture by including other forms of it – professional, amateur, amateur and more. Folk art culture subsystem is not only popular culture but also culture. Folk arts combines features of folk (traditional) art culture (focus on the birth experience, dependence on tradition, adherence to canon) and popular culture (handicraft, sampled classes, typical character serial products). An important aspect of the study of folk art culture is its relationship with mass culture, especially when studying late (industrial and post-industrial) period of development, when mass production began crafts and urgent issue their safety. During this period there is a mutual influence of traditional folk crafts and industrial enterprises that produced objects of mass production. In contrast to mass culture, popular culture is traditional and includes cultural layers of different ages, and its subject is the people as a collective identity that unites all individuals common cultural ties and mechanisms of life. As a subsystem folk culture folk art culture is characterized by anonymity, collectivity, impersonality, traditional, focused on generic experience canonical. Popular culture is based on ethnic culture, but is intended to include alien ethnic components. Unlike locality of ethnic culture, folk culture is the concept of wider distinguishing feature is its regionalism. As subsystem art culture, it includes art world, artistic creativity, artistic activities and artistic value of folk art. Artistic elements of popular culture is collective in nature, it is subject to a collective identity. Folk art culture interacts with other types of cultures and forms of creativity – mass culture, amateur and professional artistic creativity, leisure activities. The difference between mass culture and other forms of activity of folk art culture is its creative nature (unlike the adaptability of mass culture and leisure activities), focus on impersonal nature of tradition and creativity. In the industrial and postindustrial day folk art culture coexists and interacts with the professional work of art and mass culture and cannot be seen outside their influence. The tension between popular and mass culture that intersect and interact in such kinds of artistic activity as etnodyzayn. From traditional forms of folk art culture and features that have not syncretic and synthetic. In etnodyzayni basic elements of art stand signs and symbols that are the basis of traditional culture. When carrying traditional symbols and ornaments with samples of arts and crafts products to etnodyzaynerskyh replaced semantic-symbolic code. In modern practice etnodyzaynerskiy prototypes artistic decisions are archaic signs, symbols, newly reinterpreted in modern forms of artistic realization because signs symbols are removed from the traditional environment and deprived of sacral and ritual functions. Entodyzaynery leaving only their artistic element, which is interpreted as symbols of ethnic markers in the culture of post-industrial type. Entodyzayn does not replace the traditional designs of decorative art, and transforms them and connecting with new artistic techniques. Etnodyzayn synthesizes technical and artistic elements, combining elements of folk art (use of elements, forms, samples of decorative art) and professional (individual creative solutions, not imitation tradition) creativity, and focus on consumers and replication artwork in common with its massive art .
