Methodology of the efficiency measurement in the budgetary unit

Summary/Abstract: Units of the public finance sector, as well as private companies, should function effectively. To accomplish this, rational management is necessery, which requires the achievement of the right objectives and adequate allocation of available resources. However, efficiency must be measured properly. There are no publicly available templates for budgetary units, so each of them can use their own solutions in this regard. Therefore, the purpose of the article was to characterize and evaluate the methods used to measure the efficiency of the activity conducted by the Provincial Inspectorate of Trade Inspection in Lublin. The realization of the target required analyzing the literature and empirical materials from the audited entity.
