Scientific Research at the National Library “Sts. Cyril and Methodius”

Summary/Abstract: This article presents publications of the academic staff at the National Library – as part of the overall research in Bulgaria. It covers the period 2005–2015 and is based on public reports on this activity. Publications are divided into two groups – librarianship and bibliographical studies and research related to handwritten documentary and literary heritage (Book studies, Paleography, Archival studies, Oriental studies). The author also presents quantitative analysis of publications and identifies key issues for the future development of research.
