Summary/Abstract: The article studies social movements, identifies youth initiatives during the last twenty years. After defining basic notions it focuses on successes and failures of these movements and their impact on youth’ general attitudes. It is important to analyze organizations as HÖOK (National Center of Students Self-governments) and HaHa (Students’ Network) and its secondary school level version. A particular question apart is why kuruc. info and Critical Mass, subcultures of winner and looser youth groups were unable to develop into movements.
