Summary/Abstract: The article relates to theoretical aspects of the use of logistics in urban economy. Logistics supports the process of optimizing the flow of people and goods in city and also rationalizes costs. Its solutions are implemented within a targeted actions strategy aiming at improving the quality of life and functioning of all city users. Considerations are polemical. The article does not specify solutions which are dependent on the conditions of the city and its urban economy. However, they indicate the relationship between contemporary urban economy and logistics.
