Summary/Abstract: In the range of the years 2007 – 2017 there were fifteen journalists´ manifestations published in the journal „Otázky žurnalistiky“ (The questions of journalism), thematicaly dedicated to the print media. The most of them focused to the future of the print media from several points of view. The manifestations ask questions in theorethical level, to which the practice does not know the answer yet. Such as: Does the future of the print media lay in their quality? Will they be issued for a narrow field of people interrested in only? Will they vanish within few decades? The next sphere of journalists´ manifests dealth with the media of minorities and with the media of Slovaks living abroad. The contributions themselve were concerned with editing the newspapers, with changes in Slovak periodical print in the years 1990 – 2010, with origination of „Katolícke noviny“ (Catholic Journal) in 1919, with boulvarding the media, with the picture of Slovakia in the periodics in abroad and also with the engage of the regional print. The objective of this article is to evaluate the mentioned contributions published in the journal „Otázky žurnalistiky“ for the last decade and to look for the perspectives of further extention of the thematical horizon of the journal.
