Summary/Abstract: Queen Bona Sforza took the reformatory-economic activity on a wide scale in Lithuania in the 16th century. Her main achievement was agrarian reform which was continued by Zygmunt August. Furthermore, she introduced the tariffs’ system, modern tax administration and trade regulation. The effects of her activity were notable. The incomes doubled in Lithuania that time. Queen Bona decided to allocate part of the incomes on the investments. She initiated to build a big number of bridges, roads, canals, traditional mills, sawmills, clothes’ mills, and wells in Lithuania and Podlasie.
