A transfer of technology in development of an innovative activity of industrial enterprises

Summary/Abstract: The article is aimed at determining a character of the relationship between factors assumed in the research and the passive and active transfer of technology. Barriers in innovative activity, size, ownership, revenue, qualifications of employees, the selling radius as well as location of main suppliers, consumers and competitors were analyzed. The examination covered 761 industrial enterprises in Lower Silesia which were acting over the period 2010–2012. The research hypothesis comes to proving that the character of the relationship between factors assumed in the research and the passive and active transfer of technology is the same. On the basis of the carried out research, the following conclusions have been reached: 1) because the nature of the relationship between economic factors assumed in the research and the active and passive transfer of technology is the same, so you should take similar action to promote enterprises in technology transfer, regardless of the form of the technology transfer; 2) lack of own financial resources is a major barrier both for passive and active transfer of technology und they must be eliminated in the first place. In the context of a share in the transfer of technology process, reached conclusions and recommendations may contribute to an increase in the level of innovation in the examined industrial enterprises.
