Summary/Abstract: Gurie Grosu was invested in Archbishop of Chişinău and Hotin on March 29, 1921. He was appointed as Archbishop of this diocese with Royal Decree No. 5481/921. The ceremony of investing was held in Bucharest in the Royal Palace in the presence of the King and the Royal family. Hieromonk Gurie Grosu always threatened of foreign dominion, wander from village to village under the wing of the Church, to spread the spiritual word in the ancestral language of Church, singing together with the people and dividing them little book, which was the first ABC Romanian book in Bessarabia
