Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to identify the relationship between indicators of market potential and the consumer confidence index among 63 countries in the world. Indicators of the market potential developed by MSU International Business Center were taken into account. Identification of dependencies in heterogeneous global markets was carried out using the C&RT-SEM model, which is a combination of exploratory classification tree (C&RT) method with the Structural Equation Models (SEM) model. The results of the analysis indicate the great role of economic freedom, as a variable that significantly explains the relation between market potential and market sensitivity and the consumer confidence index.
