Summary/Abstract: The paper sums up the results of complex longterm (1998—2003) studies of the Late Karginian-Early Sartanian sites in the Derbina bay of Krasnoyarsk water reservoir. The primary attention is given to the sites of Derbina IV, V, VII, Ust’-Maltat I, II, and Pokrovka I, II. Their cultural horizons contain numerous stone artefacts and faunal remains. The analysis of stone inventory of these sites reveals the development from a well expressed blade industry characterized by various types of end-scrapers, points and large retouched blades towards an industry based on shortened blanks and characterized by wide triangular points, core-like scrapers, etc. The most important traits common for both stages include the technology of primary flaking and bifacial technology used to make knife-like tools and projectile points.
