Summary/Abstract: The third issue of Bulletin Family and Work in 2012 is focused on the labour force education and development in the enterprises. The issue concentrates mainly on the empirical research outcomes of employees’ education and training. The research was provided in the 3rd quarter 2011 by the Institute for Labour and Family Research. It was a part of the research task Education and Training for the Labour Market. The main goal of the empirical research was to analyze the labour force education and development in the companies. The research also focused on the implementation of selected legislative provisions in the Labour Code and the Act No. 5/2004 on Employment Services on labour force education and the employee’s education and training for the labour market. The first chapter comprises the theoretical basis for labour force education and development in the enterprises. The empirical research outcomes on the employees’ education follow in the second chapter. The third chapter is focused entirely on the research outcomes regarding the use of selected legislative provisions mentioned above. Detailed empirical research outcomes are available in the research study Education and Training for the Labour Market (2011).
