Summary/Abstract: This article focuses on the French for Specific Purposes and it is particularly concerned with French language teaching for the hotel services and tourism in specializing schools and professional training centres in Angola. It results from the observation that the working staffs of the hotel services and touristic places face serious difficulties in communicating with speaking French customers/tourists. Taking into account the fact that no program has been set so far to fulfil the real learning needs of the future professionals in those training centres, we propose one in this field. Being so, we started by carrying out a needs analysis (NA) to check what the learning needs of the working staff are. For that, we first interviewed the heads of the training centres and the next carried out a text analysis of the current French teaching programs as well as the course books in use, in the Angolan context. For the present descriptive and applied research we used empirical methods (observation, secondary and library research, needs analysis, content analysis) that helped to characterize the professionals by checking all papers/ documents that govern training in this specific professional field in Angola. Apart from this, we administered a questionnaire to the target population such as the current working professionals, the trainers as well as the trainees in six provinces in that country. In this article we present the results of the 50 trainees from a training centre in one of the six provinces.
