Influence of the design of the measurement system of processes on achieving goals in the TQM organizations

Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the main requirements for the design of a process measurement system in the TQM organisations, in terms of measures and methods of measuring. The most common errors of the process measurement system, which prevent to ensure achieving the goals of the TQM organization, were mentioned. The unsuitable information system as well as the inappropriate system of awards were pointed as the most important mistakes made by organizations. Two described cases of incorrect implementation of the process measurement system showed the special role of rewards in achieving the quality goals of organizations.
