Quality maturity in the light of research findings

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is to demonstrate the essence of quality maturity of an organization, levels of maturity, indicators of maturity and the ways maturity can be measured. Chosen elements of process maturity and its levels are described. Different ways of perceiving the maturity of an integrated QMS and its consequences are shown. In the article, one of the principles of QM, i.e. decision making based on facts, is the subject of analysis and evaluation. The problem is presented theoretically and in the light of research findings. Research was carried out on the group of 100 enterprises with certified QMS and located in the Lubelskie V oivodeship. An indicator assessing the frequency of the decision making based on facts was elaborated.
