Summary/Abstract: This article focuses on a successful attempt of using dialogues produced by students, during various role plays, as a basis for listening activities devised for students with a lower language level. The recorded speaking activity, a simulation of a business meeting, involved well-motivated, upper intermediate students with a good command of spoken English, who produced an interesting dialogue on pollution. This dialogue has later on been used with intermediate level students for practising listening skills and also integrated language skills.
